We offer three complexes of furnished garden apartments in Pietermaritzburg, conveniently located near key areas. Our Allerton Road and Chase Valley Road facilities are both close to Greys Hospital, while our Escombe Road complex is near the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). Additionally, we have a small complex of four furnished garden apartments in Winterskloof, Hilton, on an adjoining property.
Allerton Road

The Allerton Road complex has seven rentable units and a swimming pool on the property. Each unit has one bedroom, lounge/kitchen, bathroom, separate entrance and covered carport.
Rentals are between R5000 and R5500pm plus a share of municipal services.
Chase Valley Road

The Chase Valley Road facility has five rentable units and a swimming pool on the property. Each unit also has one bedroom, lounge/kitchen, bathroom, separate entrance and covered carport.
Rentals are R5500pm plus a share of municipal services.
Escombe Road

The Escombe Road property has six rentable units consisting of two bachelor units and four one bedroomed units each with kitchen/lounge, bathroom, seperate entrance and covered parking.
Rentals are between R3200pm and R4500pm plus a share of municipal services.
Devonshire Lane

We have a small complex of four furnished garden apartments on an adjoining property in Winterskloof. Each unit consists of one separate bedroom, lounge/kitchen, bathroom, own entrance and covered carport.
Rentals are between R4500pm and R5000pm plus a share of municipal services (usually around R700pm each). Included in the rental is a basic weekly cleaning service, free wifi, invertor and generator emergency backup, cellphone access control and Mi7 emergency alert and rapid response.
There is an equipped laundry, extra cleaning tools and a Weber braai unit on the property. Tenants sharing their accommodation on a regular basis are asked to make an additional contribution to municipal service fees.
General information
Each facility has an equipped laundry, free wifi, Mi7 emergency alert systems and each apartment is serviced weekly as part of the rental.
Municipal service fees amount to roughly R1000 per month. All our units are intended for single-person occupation only. Tenants inviting guests on a regular basis will be required to contribute an additional share of municipal service fees.
Tenants in all these facilities are typically employed professionals such as medical personnel, teachers and engineering folk working shifts. For this reason we don’t encourage small children and certain pets.
Updates to the Rental Housing Act require a written lease agreement to be in place between owners and tenants.
To secure a unit we need a R5000 refundable deposit and a R1200 refundable deposit for municipal services. Rentals are payable monthly in advance and municipal services monthly in arrears once the accounts are received.
Tenants are invited to a dedicated WhatsApp group to liaise with us and one another if desired.
Tenants are required to provide their own linen, crockery and cutlery, kitchen utensils and cleaning materials. We maintain the gardens, pools and the buildings.
